FCIM: The first generation of specialists with a double diploma UTM – USV

On July 9th, 2019, at the “Ştefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, Romania, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science held the dissertation exam for students of the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics (study programs: “Computers and Information Networks” “Information technology”).

This opportunity was made possible by the Agreement concluded between the Technical University of Moldova and the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, Romania, within the project of Master’s degree programmes with a double diploma: “Computers and Information Networks” (offered by UTM) and “Communication and Computer Networks” (provided by USV) and, respectively, “Information Technology” (provided by UTM) and “Computer Science and Engineering” (provided by USV).

The Dissertation Review Committee was made up of representatives of the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava and the representative of the Technical University of Moldova – PhD, Assoc. Victor ABABII.

In the Master programme “Communication and Computer Networks”, 6 theses of Sorin BOTNARU, Andrei DUBOVOI, Andrei GROMIC, Ludmila POSTOLACHI, Andrei RAZMERIŢA and Igor TARPAN (academic group CRI-171M) were presented.

Accordingly, 4 master theses were presented by Victor BURLAC, Daria CEBOTARI, Radu FILIPESCO and Andrei MOGÎLDEA (academic group TI-171M) in the Master’s programme “Computer Science and Engineering”.

The topics of the dissertations approached various methods and techniques of solving the problems of computer science, information technology and information networks with application in business, agriculture, industry and cyber security.

All the dissertations presented by the UTM Master’s graduates have been appreciated by the Committee at a very high level and assessed with grades 9 and 10.
