The Technical University of Moldova is a public higher education institution with academic and financial autonomy, operating under the authority of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova. Leadership Positions
Principles of Governance and Representation
Terms of office within UTM's governing bodies, as well as the positions of Rector, Dean, Director of the Doctoral School, and Head of Department, are obtained through an election process conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and the internal regulations approved by the University Senate.
Vice-Rectors are appointed by the Rector, while Vice-Deans are appointed by the Rector upon the recommendation of the respective Dean. The establishment of governing bodies and leadership positions follows the principle of representative governance across faculties, departments, and academic fields or study programmes.
