Be it the beginning or the end of the academic year, winter or summer, exam season or holiday season, the renovation and construction works remain one of the priorities of the Technical University of Moldova.
The most ambitious project of 2022 was the capital repair and replacement of the equipment and furniture of the University Library, which was transformed into a modern space for individual or group learning, with multimedia rooms, access to digital collections and international databases for information and documentation.
In 2022, UTM invested 8495.02 thousand lei in the capital repairs of the study buildings, 4410.70 thousand lei in student dormitories, as well as 30.6 thousand lei in the metrological verification of meters, technical servicing, and hydropneumatic washing of the heating system – amounting to 12936.32 thousand lei.

The indoor public spaces – the Library within building no. 6, the student area in buildings no. 2, 3, 9, and the laboratory room in building no. 11 – were decorated with flowering plants.

This large-scale renovation and enhancement plan is a continuous process, and the credit for the renewal of the institution goes to the Technical Directorate and its staff, led by the technical director Dorin TROFIMCIUC.
“Our desire is to offer students modern classrooms with the necessary conditions for studying, as well as a decent life within the dormitories. As rector of the Technical University of Moldova, I fully support the commitment to constantly invest and modernize the University’s spaces. Depending on the funding at our disposal, we will carry out repair works every year to (re)build our institution to function more innovatively, more technologically, but also more efficiently”, declared the rector of UTM, Prof., Dr. habil. Viorel BOSTAN. Mr. Bostan is firmly convinced that the quality of education depends, to a large extent, on the quality of the conditions provided for studying, and, at UTM, everything is done to ensure the harmony between these two elements.
