The International Exhibition of Scientific Research, Innovation and Inventions PROINVENT XXII has, over the years, become a key event for inventors, researchers, and innovators from around the world. For the Technical University of Moldova, PROINVENT represents a platform for showcasing the creative spirit and innovative potential of its researchers. The rector of UTM, Professor Viorel Bostan, PhD, has always championed research as a cornerstone of academic and economic development, aiming to further strengthen innovation initiatives and international cooperation.
Held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from October 15–17, 2025, this year’s edition saw UTM presenting an impressive portfolio of over 30 inventions submitted for evaluation—some showcased directly at the exhibition, others presented online. The Technical University of Moldova returned home with outstanding results—the presented inventions were awarded gold medals, once again confirming the creative and scientific strength of its researchers.
UTM’s delegation also used the event as an opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue with dynamic and visionary innovators, exploring new partnerships and joint projects between universities in Moldova and Romania. In this context, UTM was represented by Professor Vasile Tronciu, PhD, Vice-Rector for Research, and Professor Valeriu Dulgheru, PhD, who served on the international jury as a representative of the Republic of Moldova.
“UTM sees research as essential for the development of a modern, competitive society. We are proud of our researchers who, through their hard work, passion, and perseverance, carry UTM’s name beyond our borders,” said Vice-Rector Vasile Tronciu.
It is worth noting that more than 27 Moldovan-Romanian projects have already been implemented, offering UTM researchers opportunities for collaboration and exchange with research centers in Romania. The announcement of a new joint call for innovation and technology transfer projects opens promising perspectives for young researchers. At the Technical University of Moldova, ideas are turned into inventions.
The event was organized by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and brought together inventors, researchers, and young enthusiasts passionate about science and technology.
