In December, the Technical University of Moldova concluded a new Collaboration Agreement with “TRACOM” SA – the most impressive Industrial Park within the country, which includes over 70 resident companies operating in the top-priority social-economic fields – Information and Communication Technologies, Industrial and Product Design, Manufacture and Repair of Machines and Equipment, including electrical, electronic and agricultural equipment, wood and metal pieces, provision of logistics services, etc.
The Partnership Agreement was signed during the visit of the UTM representatives to TRACOM. The UTM rector, Prof., Dr. habil. Viorel BOSTAN, together with the deans of the UTM faculties and the administrators of the Center for Career Guidance and Counseling, voiced UTM’s willingness to collaborate with the residents of the Park in order to train specialists and create new employment opportunities. The director of “TRACOM” SA, Aurelia SALICOV, presented a brief description of the infrastructure and forms of activity of the Park residents, as well as the goals and objectives of TRACOM.
Thus, the Partnership Agreement between “TRACOM” SA and Technical University of Moldova focuses particularly on:

So far, these companies have already hosted numerous information and documentation visits from students of different faculties of UTM.
Moreover, the collaboration with TRACOM applies not only to the faculties focused on one of the branches of the industrial field. A conclusive example is this regard is the interest of the graduate of the “Urban and Regional Planning” study program within the UTM Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Iulia PILIUGHINA, who described, in her Bachelor’s thesis, her vision on what the “TRACOM” Industrial Park could look like, surprising her readers with the pragmatism, practical utility and real implementation potential of her “Reconversion of the industrial zone of the «TRACOM» park in Chisinau” project!
The urban plan refers to the territory within the Mihai Viteazul St., Columna St., Henri Coandă St., Ion Creangă St. and Bâc rivers, the young architect proposing a more efficient use of the industrial territory. The solutions for the reconversion of the Park include: modification of the functional area; creating a spatial composition that allows the connection of the territory of the industrial park with the adjacent areas; the organization of access roads, pedestrian and bicycle areas on the TRACOM territory, including their connection with the public means of transport in the area. The author also proposed the reconstruction of the administrative building, which involves the addition of several floors for the inclusion of IT and creative industries offices, expo and commercial spaces, cafes and parking lots – conditions that would favor the interaction of professionals from different industries, the instruction of young people and the exchange of experience.
It’s a vision that focuses on the extremely necessary bridge between citizens and business, a link that, through the new Partnership Agreement, will certainly find new solutions for its development.
