Today, at the formal meeting of the Department of Social Sciences within the Technical University of Moldova, assoc. prof., Dr. Ion VANGHELI, who recently became an octogenarian, was awarded the 2nd level Diploma by the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova – a gesture of gratitude for a life dedicated to teaching and education.
Mr. Vangheli was born on October 6, 1941 in the Grinăuți village, Râșcani district. Between 1958-1963, he studied at USM, Faculty of History and Letters. From 1968 and until this day, he worked at TUM, in the Department of Social-Human Sciences. He continued his doctoral studies at Leningrad State University between 1971-1973. In 1974, he defended his doctoral dissertation and in 1979 he was titled associate professor. During his employment at TUM, he held the titles of assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, and head of department. He is the author of over 50 publications.
