Anti-Covid panels made by DMIB teachers installed in study rooms

The eagerness of students and teachers to return to the classrooms inspired the collaborators of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering (DMIB) of the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics (FCIM) to make and assemble plexiglass protection separators in classrooms, with the purpose of preventing the risk of contamination with the Covid-19 virus.

“The safety of students and collaborators in this critical period is one of the priorities of the Technical University of Moldova – it is the primary condition for the proper conduct of study and scientific research activities. The installation of these plates ensures a higher degree of protection even when the physical distance cannot be ensured”, explains prof., Dr. Oleg LUPAN, who, together with lect. Nicolai ABABII, associate professor, Dr. Ion POCAZNOI and other enthusiastic colleagues from DMIB undertook and brilliantly carried out these works.

Thanks to the international collaborations initiated by DMIB in the field of education and scientific research, in particular with the University of Kiel, Germany, it was possible to equip all laboratories within the department, offering students and teachers the opportunity to safely conduct practical classes and laboratory work during the pandemic.
