Writing for Publication course for teachers

Between February 3th-4th, 2020, UTM teachers and PhD students benefited from a course of Writing for Publication held by experts in the field Sorin CAZACU, director of the Department of Anglo-American and Germanic Studies, and Carson PARENT, Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, Faculty of Letters, University of Craiova, Romania, introduced to the audience by the associate professor, dr. Svetlana CATERENCIUC, head of the Foreign Languages ​​Department, UTM.

The course started with the encouraging words from prof., Dr. Rodica STURZA, editor-in-chief of the UTM journal “Journal of Engineering Science” (JES), to explore the possibility of publishing their articles in both JES – https://jes.utm.md/, and in the second international scientific journal of UTM – “Journal of Social Sciences” (https://jss.utm.md/), the former being recently certified by ANACEC as a B+ type scientific publication.

During the courses, the trainers aimed to develop the audience’s skills of writing scientific articles in the English language, addressing different aspects of writing: meeting the ethical standards, documenting the results, the degree of rationality of the conclusions, but also the need for a good writing of the paper.

The participants in the training benefited from both theoretical support as well as multiple practical applications, simulations of writing scientific articles.
