The Technical University of Moldova hosted the intensive program “Career Launchpad for the SAP Ecosystem” at the Tekwill Innovation Center between March 20 and 27, 2026, an initiative aimed at preparing students and young professionals for the demands of today’s SAP ecosystem.
Structured as a six-day intensive training, the program brought together participants interested in enterprise technologies, digital transformation and the career paths opened by one of the world’s leading software platforms for managing business processes. The agenda combined hands-on learning with networking opportunities, culminating in the SAP Meetup Chișinău on March 27.
The opening day focused on understanding the SAP ecosystem, exploring career directions and unpacking the relationship between strategy, business processes and technology. In the days that followed, attention shifted to the architecture of solutions built on the SAP Business Technology Platform, system integration, application design and the development of digital solutions, from concept to implementation. A dedicated session on data architecture introduced participants to concepts such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Lakehouse, data governance and the alignment of information systems with business objectives.
The final day focused on digital transformation, the SAP Activate methodology, modern project management tools and the Design Thinking approach, applied to problem-solving and the development of user-centered solutions.
A defining strength of the program was its international team of speakers and facilitators, who brought practical experience from SAP environments and global digital transformation projects. The opening sessions were led by Tsovinar Chugaszyan and Michael Dorn, who guided participants through the SAP ecosystem and its career opportunities. Sessions on SAP BTP solution architecture were delivered by Peter Alexander, an expert in SAP training and certification, while the data architecture module was led by the SAP Enterprise Architecture team, represented by Jason Luo and Gaurish Dessai. The digital transformation component was delivered by Latavra Chubinidze, and the Design Thinking workshop was facilitated by Masoumeh Moghaddam, a specialist in project development and coaching. The program also benefited from contributions by a broader network of experts, including Oliver Schreiber, Billie Julian Jeurink and Bastian Hughes, reinforcing its international scope.
Beyond the technical content, the program highlighted a key aspect of working in modern digital ecosystems: communication. The interaction between participants, teamwork and direct dialogue with industry experts showed that networking and communication skills are just as important as technical knowledge. In this context, SAP Meetup Chișinău became a natural space for connection between students, mentors and potential employers, helping participants step into an active professional community.
From an organizational perspective, the program reflects strong collaboration between academia and industry. The initiative was launched by the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business in partnership with Tekwill Academy, as part of UTM’s broader effort to align education with the realities of the digital economy and international job markets. It was developed in cooperation with PBD Experts and SOPRIS, and supported at launch by Natalia Mogildea, Michael Dorn and Tsovinar Chugaszyan, illustrating a clear link between education, innovation and global expertise.
The impact of the event goes beyond that of an intensive course. It served as a platform for career orientation, practical training and direct engagement with professionals from the SAP ecosystem. Participants worked on business simulations, applied projects and modern development tools, while also gaining access to real networking opportunities. For UTM, the program marks another step in strengthening a modern educational model focused on digital skills, international exposure and employability.
By hosting the “Career Launchpad for the SAP Ecosystem,” the Technical University of Moldova once again shows its commitment to connecting academic learning with the realities of today’s technological and economic landscape. The program made clear that education becomes truly valuable when it is backed by practical experience, international partnerships and direct access to the people shaping the future of digital business.
