The “Law” study program within the Department of Engineering, Law, and Real Estate Evaluation at the UTM Faculty of Construction, Geodesy, and Cadastre organized the 5th edition of the Gala of Future Jurists. This event gathered professors, students, and parents to celebrate academic excellence, scientific research, and the extracurricular achievements of students and master’s students in the field of law.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Construction, Geodesy, and Cadastre, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Livia Nistor-Lopatenco, who commended the “Law” study program, highlighting the high level of student preparation and stressing the importance of training competent and ethical jurists. Ms. Nistor-Lopatenco congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to pursue their professional growth with perseverance and passion.

Professor Dr. habil. Svetlana Albu, Head of the Department of Engineering, Law, and Real Estate Evaluation, emphasized the crucial role of students’ active involvement in diverse extracurricular and scientific research activities, which are fundamental for balanced personal growth and a successful career in the field of law.
The guest of honor at the Gala was Luminița Covali, a graduate of the “Real Estate and Cadastral Law” master’s program, class of 2017, now a notary public in Chișinău. Reflecting on her time at UTM, she fondly recalled her experiences and urged students to actively participate in various activities to develop their professional skills. Luminița congratulated the award winners and personally awarded two Diplomas of Excellence to the top-performing students.
The Gala featured a series of emotional moments, including a congratulatory video from professors to the graduates and creative videos made by first, second, and third-year students. A special segment was the awarding of recognition diplomas to first-year students and the parents of graduates, acknowledging their steadfast support throughout. The event concluded with the traditional ceremony of passing the symbol of Themis (the Goddess of Justice) from the bachelor’s graduates to the third-year students.


The event organizers, Mr. Iurie Ivanov, Head of the “Law” study program, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viorica Ursu, served as moderators of the Gala, presenting gratitude diplomas to parents and contributed significantly to the fruition of the event.
The success of the future jurists is also attributed to their dedicated professors—Livia Nistor-Lopatenco, Iurie Ivanov, Viorica Ursu, Ina Bostan, Victor Catan, Tatiana Stahi, Angelina Tălămbuță, Alexandru Savva, Zinaida Lupașcu, Oleg Tănase, Elena Moraru, Rita Munteanu, and Angela Cuciurcă. Their efforts and commitment are instrumental in shaping outstanding professionals in the field of law.
The Gala of Future Jurists once again showcased the Faculty of Construction, Geodesy, and Cadastre’s dedication to delivering high-quality education in the field of law, preparing well-trained professionals actively involved in building a just and prosperous society.
