The students from the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of the Technical University of Moldova have launched a new initiative: a student-to-student training session, organized by the Student Trade Union Bureau CIM.
The activity was initiated on February 8 by Alex COZLOVSCHI, 2nd year student in the “Applied Informatics” program, and Gabriela CEBOTAR, 3rd year student in the “Information Technologies” program. The first topic proposed for discussion was Digital Footprint – what is the digital “fingerprint”/“shadow” and how can it affect both our personal and professional life? What are the risks we expose ourselves to when we share/distribute certain information online or look for what interests us on various websites?
The amazing feedback received online aroused the interest of high school students as well. The impact was so great that, shortly after the presentation, a first request was sent by a pre-university educational institution – IP Sîrcova Gymnasium. Alex and Gabriela gladly accepted the invitation, visiting their new audience of 7th and 8th graders on February 9th.
The teachers from Sîrcova Gymnasium expressed their gratitude for the receptivity and openness of the FCIM students, as well as for their ability to share their experience in a creative way. The presentation will have a great impact on the children’s development of a healthy and responsible attitude in the online environment.
Alex and Gabriela mentioned that the experience came to be an unforgettable one. The students were delighted with how involved and curious the middle schoolers from Sîrcova were: “Their feedback convinced us that both the topic and the delivery of the training course were very interesting. We are open to sharing the online teaching practices used by the Student Trade Union Bureau of the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of TUM with all those who want to broaden their spectrum of digital skills in the field of online teaching/training.”
