The Technical University of Moldova has advanced in the EURASIAN UNIVERSITY RANKING (IAAR EUR) for 2021 – a new indicator of international recognition for outstanding academic performance.
The 5th Central Asia International Forum “Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Global Trends and Regional Issues” was held in the city of Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 1-2, 2021, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR). With the aim to examine modern approaches for the development of the system of quality assurance, accreditation, research and expanding cooperation with international organizations and agencies, the Forum discussed issues of quality assurance in education; development strategies; learning technologies and future models; international accreditation as a mechanism for improving the quality of education and, last but not least, ranking as a key factor in increasing the competitiveness of universities.
The Forum was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, the European International Networks for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, International Accreditation Organizations, foreign and local Higher Education Institutions, employers, and students. The nomination of the Technical University of Moldova with the “Technical Science Award” resulted in the signing of the General Collaboration Agreement with Osh State University (Kyrgyz Republic), represented by rector Kozhobekov Kudaiberdi Gaparalievich.
