TUM-USV: Circular economy – a model of sustainable development

“Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava in Romania organized the round table “Circular economy – a model of sustainable development”, attended by representatives of the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business (FIEB) within the Technical University of Moldova and the National Institute for Economic Research (INCE).

The Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business has built a fruitful collaboration with USV, the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Business (FEAA), as well as with the National Institute of Economic Research. These relations were fortified through the organization of the round table “Circular economy – a model of sustainable development” on November 18, 2021, with the assistance of the dean of FEAA, Carmen NĂSTASE.

The topic addressed is important for all institutions. Thus, research in the field of circular economy is carried out by several PhD students of FEAA in regional projects, INCE and FIEB successfully conducting research in the national scientific research project “Development of the mechanism of formation of the circular economy in the Republic of Moldova”.

Accordingly, the participants organized a valuable exchange of views on the obtained results of the research: the challenges, problems, but also the similarities of the implementation of the circular economy in our countries have been identified. After the discussions, all parties declared themselves willing to work together to apply to joint projects in this particularly important area.

The FIEB-FEEA administration also reviewed the topic of bilateral collaboration, finding solutions to current issues and identifying new opportunities for collaboration in the educational field.
