Doinița CREȚU, a graduate of class 2017 of the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business, the “Business and Administration” program, says that she chose to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at the Technical University of Moldova due to her conviction that a successful career requires a good educational foundation. Being one of the most esteemed higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova, Doinița confidently recommends UTM to the young people who are looking to broaden their horizons and achieve their professional goals.
– The university years were full of challenges, but also enthusiasm, as a result of the persistent competitiveness among our colleagues, a circumstance that developed important skills for us. This fact was appreciated and supported by the professors, who showed objectivity and meritocracy. Perseverance and personal ambition were the factors that motivated me to get a job shortly after finishing my first year at the university, as a manager in the Financial and Administration Department of a construction company in Chișinău. Now, at this point in which I acquired some work and life experience, I confidently recommend young students to get involved in the labor market while still at university, because only in this way you can apply all the course theory and information in real life scenarios, develop your communication and team-working skills, and understand your true value in the workplace.
In the last year of my Bachelor’s program, I decided to apply for the ERASMUS+ Mobility Program through the UTM International Relations Service, thus benefiting from a six-month academic mobility in Lithuania, at SMK University of Applied Social Sciences, Vilnius.
It was a beautiful experience in my student life, which pushed me to explore and get to know a new culture, a new academic environment and, of course, new people. Interacting with students from Taiwan, Italy, Nigeria, Turkey, Germany, Uzbekistan, and attending courses taught by local teachers, but also exchange teachers invited from Taiwan and Great Britain, helped me to think and understand the economic field on a global level and to perceive the impact of globalization and its effect on our lives, also giving me the confidence to be ready for any changes that might happen in the future.
Due to the fact that, at the end of my Bachelor’s program at FIEB, it was necessary to complete a Business Plan, I managed to apply all my knowledge while working on the development of a family business – cultivating and growing blackberries, a project that now provides extra income and satisfaction for those at home.
My desire to continue learning and growing motivated me to pursue a Master’s program at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. In these two years, I managed to improve my skills not only through study and research, but also through working at an outsourcing company.
The professional training and skills developed during this period allowed me to now work in an international company in London, as a manager, and to be competitive in a multicultural environment.
In fact, the student who has the ability to shine, will definitely stand out in his professional career. Congratulations, Doinița!
