Natalia CALENIC, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Moldova, and Rodica DIMITRIU, Department of International Relations, paid a visit to the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business to inform students and teachers about the activity of CCI, but also about new opportunities for collaboration.
During the dialogue, the students learned that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova is the largest business association in Moldova, which brings together over 1200 members from all branches of the national economy. It includes 10 subsidiaries that assist companies throughout the country, including:
- representing the interests of the business environment both in relation to the state and to the international institutions;
- facilitating strategic partnerships, oriented towards attracting investments;
- promoting national and international trade relations;
- contributing to the application of good practices in the economic and social development of the country.
Of particular interest was the information about the organization of the multiple activities by the CCI for promoting the companies and local products – within the exhibition “Made in Moldova” and at international exhibitions, but also the fact that the CCI contributes with expertise in different fields, provides support, including financial, for certification in the field of Quality Management, etc.; solves commercial disputes in relations between entrepreneurs, provides mediation and educational services through the Entrepreneurship Training Center, promotes dual education.
A lot of attention was brought to the information about international projects, which proliferate educational opportunities for training young entrepreneurs abroad, the necessary information and financial support.
Following the discussions, it was identified the possibility for FIEB students to carry out internships at the CCI of the Republic of Moldova.
