The future is no longer something distant, it is being built now. Professional training is moving beyond the limits of traditional academic models and is increasingly shaped by practice and systems thinking.
The “Career Launchpad for the SAP Ecosystem” program, hosted by Tekwill Academy at UTM in partnership with the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business, reflects this shift. It marks the move from simply absorbing information to developing real skills, and from uncertainty to a clearer sense of career direction.
For UTM, this step comes naturally. The Technical University of Moldova is the first higher education institution in the country to integrate SAP S/4HANA into the curriculum of its economic programs. Students in Accounting, Finance and Banking, Business and Administration, as well as Marketing and Logistics already work with this technology. Since 2024, UTM has also been part of SAP University Alliances, a global initiative that gives students access to the tools used by leading companies worldwide.
The program, structured as an intensive six-day training between 20 and 27 March, connects academic learning with the realities of the global tech ecosystem. Participants are introduced to ways of thinking they can apply in any professional setting, gradually shifting from understanding concepts to building solutions.
The first day opened with an introduction to SAP fundamentals and career paths, from finance and retail to manufacturing and management. Students were challenged to make decisions in a simulated business environment, where the stakes felt close to real.
As the course progressed, participants moved on to developing solutions using the SAP Business Technology Platform. They worked on integrating systems, automating processes and building applications across the innovation cycle. At this stage, their role began to change, from users of technology to creators shaping it.
The impact of the program goes beyond the classroom.
Approaches such as SAP Activate and Design Thinking were introduced as practical ways of working, focused on solving problems, understanding user needs and navigating complexity with creativity.
The presence of international experts and the connection to global practices give the program a wider perspective. Students from the Republic of Moldova are becoming part of an ecosystem where they can grow, contribute and stay connected to ongoing developments.
At its core, a resilient digital economy depends on the ability to turn the potential of young people into practical skills and real impact.
