UTM and maib Open New Horizons for Students’ Digital Future with the Inauguration of 5 Renovated Classrooms

The Technical University of Moldova, in collaboration with maib, is continuously upgrading its educational infrastructure to align with the modern training needs of specialists. Recently, five renovated classrooms were officially opened within the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business (FIEB), providing students with a learning environment that meets international standards. This initiative, funded by maib, is part of a larger educational development project designed to create an optimal setting for nurturing the next generation of IT and economic professionals in the country.

Through this effort, UTM reaffirms its commitment to offering the best conditions for education, research, and innovation, facilitating the development of essential digital and economic skills needed in today’s job market. The newly refurbished classrooms, designed under the careful guidance of interior designer Dumitru Cărbuni and inspired by the maib brand book, embody a modern and cohesive learning environment aimed at fostering creativity and student engagement. The upgrades include high-quality projectors, smart cameras for online streaming, built-in microphones and speakers, interactive panels, and laptops. These new facilities are perfectly suited for both in-person and online classes and meetings, offering ample opportunities for interactive sessions.

UTM Rector, Prof. Dr. Viorel Bostan, emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating: “This is truly a moment of joy and gratitude for our entire university community as we inaugurate these recently renovated classrooms, which provide improved study and research conditions at the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business (FIEB). Alongside providing substantial financial support, maib actively collaborates with UTM by involving its IT experts in a variety of educational events. In recent years, these experts have participated in Soft Skills and Tech Talks sessions, offering students valuable advice and practical guidance. Additionally, maib has been instrumental in nurturing young talent by participating in competitions and hackathons, where its representatives have served as evaluators and jury members, recognizing and rewarding the most talented students.

UTM Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Dr. Dinu ȚURCANU, who also attended the event, noted: “In an era where technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, digitalization is key to the evolution and modernization of educational institutions. Renovating our auditoriums goes beyond just upgrading physical spaces; it’s about embracing new technologies and creating an educational environment that truly meets the needs and expectations of this century.”

Svetlana BODACI, maib’s HR Director, shared her enthusiasm about this accomplishment, declaring that they will continue to invest in education and provide necessary resources to support both students and faculty.

FIEB Dean Rafael CILOCI pointed out that “the new classroom configuration will create an ideal environment for learning, collaboration, and personal growth. The state-of-the-art technology now available in these spaces will foster active interaction and support innovative learning methods. These upgrades will not only enhance the comfort of students and faculty but also encourage creative exploration and critical thinking.”

Through these initiatives, UTM and maib strengthen the crucial link between academia and the private sector, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships in building a prosperous society capable of successfully meeting the challenges of the digital future.
