In June 2024, the Technical University of Moldova was recognized among the world’s top universities according to the prestigious RUR World University Rankings. Following an assessment of over 1,200 leading higher education institutions worldwide, UTM secured the 921st position with a score of 34.551. This significant achievement places UTM alongside 16 other universities in Romania, affirming its status as an elite educational institution on the international stage.
Universities included in the RUR ranking were evaluated across 20 indicators grouped into four essential domains of university activity: teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability. Each domain contributes to a comprehensive overview of the academic and administrative performance of the institutions.

– Qualification and international reputation of teaching staff.
– Number of citations of faculty and research publications.
– International reputation of university research.
– Number of students and administrative staff benefiting from international internships.
– Institutional revenues for academic staff or students.
