Ludmila PECA, Director of the “Cybercor” National Institute of Cybersecurity Innovations and certified Cisco instructor specializing in computer networks and cybersecurity, participated in the “Executive Summit 2024: Resilient Leaders in the Era of AI” held on May 22-23 in Venice, Italy. Organized by Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity, the event served as a platform for discussions on pressing issues such as integrating AI into security operations, the future of cybersecurity in the AI era, and the importance of resilient leadership in adapting to these changes.

The summit featured discussions, workshops, and presentations by industry leaders. Helmut REISINGER, CEO for EMEA & LATAM, took on the role of moderator and guided the sessions, while Gordon BROWN, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Ireland, shared insights into the impact of geopolitics and technology over the next decade. Wendi WHITMORE, SVP Unit 42 at Palo Alto Networks, and Allie K. MILLER, former Global Head of Machine Learning for startups and venture capital at Amazon (AWS), delved into the landscape of AI-driven threats and their unintended consequences. The first day concluded with a roundtable discussion on cloud transformation and resilience in hybrid work environments, moderated by Thierry KARSENTI, VP EMEA & LATAM Systems Engineering.
The second day continued with the presentations of Rüdiger von FRITSCH, former German Ambassador to Russia, and historian Niall FERGUSON, who explored themes of superpower rivalry and business risks in an interconnected world. Nikesh ARORA, CEO of Palo Alto Networks, spoke about strategic partnerships and innovations in AI-based security solutions, while Nir ZUK, founder and CTO of Palo Alto Networks, elucidated AI outcomes in cybersecurity.
