The Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization (MCID) of Romania announced on May 17, 2024, that it has approved the list of Collaboration Projects with the Republic of Moldova accepted for funding.

The selection took place as part of the “Bilateral Collaboration Projects with the Republic of Moldova” competition, under Program 5.8 – European and International Cooperation, Subprogram 5.8.3 – Bilateral/Multilateral, initiated by the Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation (UEFISCDI Romania) in 2023.

The competition aims to strengthen existing research networks and develop new collaborations between research groups from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Project proposals were elaborated in the following scientific domains:
– Exact Sciences and Engineering (out of 42 projects, 25 were submitted by UTM researchers);
– Social Sciences and Humanities (out of 54 projects, 4 were from UTM);
– Life Sciences (out of 78 projects, 18 were from UTM).

We are pleased to announce that, following the selection process, 7 research project proposals from UTM collaborators have been approved for funding. These projects were evaluated and chosen based on criteria of excellence and impact, and we are confident they will make significant contributions in their respective fields.
