UTM Organizes a New Edition of the Technical Olympiad in Informatics, Physics, and Chemistry

Today, April 27, the Technical University of Moldova is hosting a new edition of the Technical Olympiad in Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry, bringing together a remarkable number of students passionate about the fascinating field of exact sciences. Organized annually by the dedicated team of the UTM Center of Career Guidance and Counseling, led by administrators Radu Melnic and Natalia Șestenco, the competition highlights the growing enthusiasm for STEAM disciplines among students.

This year’s Olympiad has attracted a significant number of participants, with 34 students competing in Informatics, 14 in Physics, and 37 in Chemistry. The competition also features a diverse geographical representation, with students from Chisinau, Straseni, Criuleni, Hancesti, Nisporeni, Stefan Voda, Ialoveni, Causeni, Orhei, Anenii Noi, ATU Gagauzia, and the left bank of the Dniester, all eager to test their knowledge in these challenging fields.

The Technical Olympiad aims to test and expand students’ knowledge in their respective fields. By sparking interest in engineering, UTM stands as Moldova’s only engineering institution, offering a conducive platform with modern infrastructure, skilled professors, and numerous opportunities for recognition and professional growth for students passionate about the exact sciences.

Throughout the day, students will undergo the competition tests, with the results announced after the evaluations are complete.
