Government Excellence Scholarships for 6 UTM Doctoral Candidates

Victor IAPĂSCURTĂ, Viorel MUNTEANU, Antonina DUMITRIU, Cătălina NEGOIŢĂ, and Cristian LUPAN are the five doctoral students of the Technical University of Moldova who will be awarded the Government Excellence Scholarship in 2024. Additionally, Adrian BÎRNAZ will benefit from the Scholarship for Scientific Fields. A decision to this effect was approved on March 26 by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, in recognition and appreciation of the researchers’ effort, perseverance, and innovative spirit.

The Government Excellence Scholars of the Technical University of Moldova pursue doctoral studies in various fields, as follows:

Government Excellence Scholarship for 2024:

Victor IAPĂSCURTĂ – Scientific Specialty 122.03: Modeling, Mathematical Methods, Software Products, 2nd year,

Viorel MUNTEANU – Scientific Specialty 122.03: Modeling, Mathematical Methods, Software Products, 2nd year,

Antonina DUMITRIU – Scientific Specialty 431.02: Morphology, Morphopathology, and Animal Oncology, 4th year,

Cătălina NEGOIŢĂ – Scientific Specialty 253.01: Technology of Plant-Based Food Products, 2nd year,

Cristian LUPAN – Scientific Specialty 233.01: Nano-Microelectronics and Optoelectronics, 2nd year.

Scholarship for Scientific Fields for 2024:

Adrian BÎRNAZ – Scientific Specialty 233.03: Electronic Technologies and Components, 2nd year.

In total, doctoral candidates from the organizing institutions of doctoral studies in the country will benefit from 21 Government Excellence Scholarships in 2024 (3,165 lei each) and 3 Scholarships for Scientific Fields (2,640 lei each). This initiative underscores the Government’s contribution to fostering a robust research ecosystem and inspiring young talents to actively participate in research and development activities.
