On March 23, the Master’s Degree Graduation ceremony for the class of 2023 took place at the UTM Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics.
As is the tradition, the ceremony was opened by the dean of FCIM, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Dumitru CIORBĂ, who congratulated the graduates on successfully completing the programme and obtaining the title of Master in Engineering, and mentioned the students with the highest average score.
The graduates received congratulatory messages from Dr. Viorica SUDACEVSCHI, head of the Department of Informatics and Systems Engineering; Sergiu RAILEAN, Ph.D., interim head of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Ion FIODOROV, Ph.D., head of the Department of Software Engineering and Automation.
Mr. Fiodorov emphasized the importance of pursuing a Master’s Degree, as it opens up new opportunities and prospects not only for employment, but also for one’s professional advancement. The head of the Department of Software Engineering and Automation mentioned the “Software Engineering” Master’s programme, which focuses on the science of information processing, the methods and tools for solving specific problems related to the organization of human activities, and the development of models and techniques for the production of software – a field that extends both to the infrastructure of systems and to the organizational and informational aspects of enterprises.
Among the Master’s graduates of the MIB Department (the “Biomedical Engineering” study programme, consisting of 22 Master’s students – the highest number among FCIM programmes for this year, and the “Microelectronics and Nanotechnology” study programme, consisting of 11 graduates) are also students who have decided to continue their education by pursuing a Doctoral Degree – Mihai BR NZĂ (IBM program) and Dinu LITRA (MN program), under the supervision of Dr. habil. Oleg LUPAN.
Assoc. Prof., Dr. Viorica SUDACEVSCHI mentioned two of the 15 Master’s graduates of the CRI programme with the most remarkable results – Dumitru PLĂMĂDEALĂ and Neonil ROȘCA, who stood out through winning multiple awards and distinctions since their undergraduate years, including the scholarship of the Republic of Moldova in 2021, gold medals at national and international invention exhibitions, and prizes at engineering competitions.
The graduates thanked the scientific and teaching staff of the departments, the administration of FCIM and the Technical University of Moldova for their immense effort and contribution to the development of the professional skills of their students.
