FIEB students at the Career Day at the National Bank of Moldova

In view of the fruitful collaborative relationship of the UTM Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business with the National Bank of Moldova, the two entities have been organizing various joint activities, resulting in several graduates of FIEB-UTM being employed at NBM. On February 17, the students of the “Finance and Banks” Bachelor’s Degree programme and the “Finance and Control” Master’s Degree programme participated in the “Career Day at the National Bank of Moldova”. The event brought together dozens of young people eager to work in the banking sector of the Republic of Moldova.

The employees of the National Bank provided information on how the students could aim to join the team of professionals from the banking sector of the Republic of Moldova. The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian ARMAȘU, explained the specifics of the operation of the central bank, the diversity of its areas of intervention, as well as the opportunities offered by the central bank to its employees. NBM is constantly looking for young specialists, academically prepared in the field of banking and finance, economists, mathematicians, and IT engineers. In return, the entity offers a good career launchpad and a suitable environment for knowledge development.

The event included a panel discussion, during which the participants received answers to a series of questions related to NBM’s fields of activity. The schedule included 9 workshops, covering topics on banking supervision, statistical reporting, payment systems, technologies and information security, external relations and European integration, financial markets, regulation and authorisation, financial stability, accounting and financial reporting.

The guests had the opportunity to visit the NBM museum, where they were given a presentation on the symbols of the national currency. The visitors also learned about the vacancies at NBM, the requirements for potential future employment, and the opportunities for professional development offered by NBM.
