During October 20-22, 2022, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the International Scientific Conference “MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY”, MTFI-2022, at the UTM Faculty of Food Technology and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The main objectives of the event were:
- Increasing knowledge, as well as the current level of scientific training in the field of Food and Nutrition;
- Promoting the scientific results of research in the field of Food Product Innovation;
- Encouraging cooperation between various scientific institutions both in the Republic of Moldova and abroad.
During the conference, 88 scientific papers from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Italy, and France were presented. The forum included discussions regarding the implementation of new processes in Food Engineering, new technologies for obtaining functional foods, as well as issues related to food safety. Innovative methodologies were proposed in the field of Oenology and Biotechnology in the Food Industry. The event was divided into 3 sessions of oral presentations, poster sessions, and a Republican scientific-practical seminar titled “Molecular detection of pathogenic microorganisms in food products”.
