FIEB-UTM: Master’s thesis competition focusing on European policies and sustainable development, 2022 edition

The Master students of the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business have affirmed their competencies regarding the identification of solutions for a sustainable, intelligent and inclusion-favorable growth through the content and quality of their Master theses.

The European course of development is today, more than ever, very significant for the progress of our country. At FIEB-UTM, we place special emphasis on studying EU policies, initiatives and best practices in terms of sustainable development and their applicability in various industrial sectors. The comprehensive approach to sustainable development in European policies and initiatives is an excellent model for young engineers and managers, responsible for the future decisions on the management of enterprises and industrial sectors. The fruit of the work of the teachers from FIEB is embodied in the Master theses on this topic.

European policies and initiatives inspired and motivated the 2021-2022 class of Masters to conduct in-depth investigations in various aspects of sustainable development – an appreciable effort, which resulted in 10 Master’s theses that reflected the specifics of sustainable development in various sectors of economics, such as research and development in higher education institutions, competitive policy and regional infrastructure, confectionery industry, construction sector, textile sector, banking sector, agriculture, agritourism:

  5. Particularities of marketing in constructions, Tudor MOVILEANU, AA 201, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Nicolae ȚURCANU.
  6. Sustainable development policy at JSC CB „Moldindconbank”, author: Natalia TALPĂ, AA 202, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Cornelia CRUCERESCU.
  7. Elaboration of the development strategy of SC „Filatura-Ungheni” SRL in order to ensure sustainable development, author: Sergiu GOJINEȚCHI, AA 202, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Rina ȚURCAN.
  8. The role of innovations for streamlining the activity of the company „Stivuitor” SRL, author: Mihai BUCA, AA 201, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Rafael CILOCI.
  9. Sources of funding for start-ups in the field of agritourism, author: Ana BURAC, AA 201, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Rafael CILOCI.
  10. The role of innovations for streamlining the activity of the enterprise „SMARTA-AS” SRL, Valeria CAZEMIR, AA 202, supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Rafael CILOCI.

As a result of the competition of the Master’s theses, the winners were selected according to the following nominations:

Reflection of EU policies and initiatives on sustainable development: Natalia GUDIMA, Tatiana CREȚU, Carolina SPATARU, Natalia TALPĂ, Elena GOȚONOAGA.

Adjusting the company’s strategy to the principles of sustainable development: Tatiana CREȚU, Natalia TALPĂ, Sergiu GOJINEȚCHI, Ana BURAC, Tudor MOVILEANU.

Strategic options for sustainable development by streamlining processes: Tatiana CREȚU, Valeria CAZEMIR, Sergiu GOJINEȚCHI, Mihai BUCA.
