The Francophone students of FCGC, FIEB and FUA had the honor of being invited to participate in the PHOTOGRAPHY AND GRAPHICS competition within the International Interdisciplinary Symposium “Autour et à travers”, organized by CRU TUIASI – University Success Center of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University in Iași, with the support of AUF-ECO – Francophone University Agency in Central and Eastern Europe, within the project “Transversal(itate) în Univers(itate)”.
As recommended by Ms. Lidia BIVOL, teacher of French at the Botanica TUM campus, 24 students (a relatively great number in the context of the exam period) sent their works. In accordance with the proposed topic, “Autour et à travers – Around and through”, the authors were encouraged to reproduce in their pieces (photos or posters/personal graphic creations) the circular/linear movement/shape in all senses and understandings: as a material representation, as shapes that we find in the world around us, as movements in nature, as a representation of cyclicity/evolution – in what we see, but also in what is beyond sight, as a symbol, metaphor, or allusion. The students were therefore invited to reflect on the proposed topic and to choose a perspective that mirrors circularity and/or linearity as creatively as possible.
The work of our students was appreciated at its fair value, some of them being awarded at the symposium on Friday, December 17, between 9.30-10.00, on the Google Meet platform.
The winners from TUM are the students Vladimir MELNIC, gr. ARH-192, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Mihaela DIMITRIU, gr. ML-211, Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business. The prizes for the first, second and third place, as well as for the mentions, consist of cameras/polaroid/external USB batteries. All participants will receive diplomas from the contest organizers.
The students stated that they look forward to the continuation of the fruitful collaboration between TUM and the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, in view of the transdisciplinarity of the French language and the technical field.
