On November 23-26, 2021, the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering within the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics welcomed the professors Pawel BUN and Lukasz WARGULA from Poznan University of Technology to TUM. The visit was conducted within the CEEPUS project CIII-RO-0013-17-2122-M-151142 „Teaching and Research of Environmental oriented Technologies in Manufacturing” (local coordinator of the project: assoc. prof., Dr. Ion POCAZNOI).
CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is an exchange academic programme in the fields of education and research, involving 15+ Central-European countries and offering both teachers and students opportunities to spend a study or teaching period abroad at partner universities. It is a unique chance to share knowledge and experience between countries with a common cultural heritage and a strong background of academic cooperation.
The guests, accompanied by the head of the MIB Department, prof. univ., Dr. Oleg LUPAN, visited the department’s laboratories and scientific centers, including the Nanotechnologies and Nanosensors Center, while getting acquainted with the goals of DMIB: education, training, science, collaboration prospects.
The visitors showed a special interest in the international student competition “Sergiu Rădăuțan”, organized by DMIB. Thus, the professors consider the possibility of participating in the 2022 edition of the competition. As the Poznan University of Technology includes study programs focused on medical robotics and medical engineering, the participation of students from the University in Poland will fit perfectly in the context of this international competition.
The conferences “Nanotechnologies and Biomedical Engineering” and ECCO-2022 have also generated particular interest among the guests.
The visitors were accompanied by two colleagues from the same university, who came to visit another TUM Faculty – Mechanical Engineering and Transport.
