The third year students of the “Accounting” program within the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business benefited from a real Master Class within the course “Financial Audit”.
The topic proposed for discussion by Vitalie CORNICIUC, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at VictoriaBank – “Key audit aspects and communication between the auditor and the audit client” – is an important and complex one, being conditioned by skills built though extensive experience. The subject was approached through analyzing problems and challenges from the real sector, but also opportunities related to the current situation.
The event was organized with the support of univ. lect. Andrei STAN, head of the “Financial Audit” course, expert in international audit.
The students showed an increased interest in the proposed topic, considering the possibility to examine concrete and practical examples from the financial sector. The interaction and communication with experts contributes to the increase of the level of preparation of the students of the “Accounting” program.
Given the knowledge gained and the skills developed, the studies conducted within the “Accounting” program offer many opportunities for starting a successful career and benefitting from various employment options in the financial-accounting position within organizations in different economic sectors.
