Under the auspices of the TUM administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova, the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre hosted the public lecture “Combating human trafficking” for the students of the Law program. The lesson aimed to help reduce the vulnerability of risk groups to the threats of human trafficking.
Vitalie PȘENICINÂI, representative of the Center for Combating Human Trafficking, General Police Inspectorate, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, and Sergiu BRIGAI, Prosecutor in the Department for Combating Human Trafficking, General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova, referred to the statistical data on victims exploited in the country, explaining that human trafficking is a flagrant violation of human freedom and dignity, a serious form of crime, a threat to the security and sustainable development of society, but also a transnational danger.
The public lecture was organized in the context of raising awareness among young people about the issue of human trafficking and the high degree of social danger of this phenomenon.
