On October 21, 2021, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the opening of the International Conference “Electronics, Communications and Computing” ECCO-2021 – a major event for the scientific community in the country and abroad.
Reaching its 11th edition, ECCO-2021 is a continuation of the conferences ICMCS (International Conference on Microelectronics and Computer Science) and ICTEI (International Conference on Telecommunications, Electronics and Informatics), organized by the Technical University of Moldova, this year in online format.
The theme of the conference was selected with the objective of integrating the main research goals specific to the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics and the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, the topic being addressed within 7 scientific sections (Electronics, Computer engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Cybersecurity, Networks and Communications, Knowledge-based society, Theoretical and Applied Physics – In memoriam Anatolie Casian), including the presentation of scientific papers covering matters of various strategic fields for the national and global economy.
The Republic of Moldova also participates in the works of the ECCO-2021 Conference, the researchers being representatives of the Technical University of Moldova, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, etc., as well as individuals from the business environment. Nevertheless, the presence of participants from abroad, including representatives from Romania, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Luxembourg and South Korea, is certainly appreciated.
Parallel to the activities in the scientific departments, three workshops are being carried out: “Bioinformatics”, “Machine Learning and Applications” and “Digital tools for a competitive economy”, attended by specialists from the USA, Austria, France, Spain and representatives of the business environment both from the Republic of Moldova and abroad.
