Between March 24-25, 2021, the students of the study programs “Marketing and Logistics”, “Business and Administration” and “Accounting” at the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business had the opportunity to participate in an event organized by the National Bank of Moldova, entitled “Make sense of money”, during the International Financial Education Week.
The event featured video recordings on various topics: “Why does a country need foreign exchange reserves?”, “How do you start an online business?”, “How do we check the security of online merchants?”, but also a virtual currency exhibition from the collection of the National Museum of History of Moldova.
The activities were moderated by Ion NICORICI, the coordinator of the public consultation process. Some of the topics addressed were:
- “Official Reserve Assets”, by Daniel SAVIN, Director of the Financial Market Department;
- “Users’ rights and obligations of payment service providers”, a presentation by Natalia ŢURCAN-MUNTEANU, Deputy Director of the Payment Systems Department;
- The historical side of the monetary topic, a speech by Ana BOLDUREANU, head of the Medieval and Numismatic History Sector, National Museum of History of Moldova.
The students had the opportunity to discuss with experts of the National Bank of Moldova in an open and interactive format.
