On October 12th, 2020, the Elevate project, within which UTM is a partner, went through its last monitorization by the Erasmus+ National Office.
Implemented in the period 2016-2020, the Elevate Project (573921-EPP-1-2016-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP) ends on October 14th, 2020. In order to analyze the evolution of the project, the challenges it encountered and the establishment of sustainability actions, the Erasmus+ National Office organized a project monitoring meeting. The participants from UTM were Larisa Bugaian, vice-rector for Financial Affairs and International Relations, Carolina Timco, head of SRI, Tatiana Munteanu, SRI specialist, Elena Gogoi, FCIM internationalization manager, and Irina Cojuhari, FCIM.
The project partners presented the activities carried out. On behalf of UTM, the report was presented by Larisa Bugaian, vice-rector for Financial Affairs and International Relations, and project manager. Ms. Bugaian mentioned that UTM, as a partner of the project, participated in carrying out all planned activities: conducting internal questionnaires and analyzing the results. As a member of the working team, the University participated in the development of state policies in the field of SO internationalization, developed its function of international integration by establishing the institutional strategy of internationalization and the action plans to achieve it, as well as action plans related to the integration in the European research area, elaboration of new institutional normative acts and updating of existing ones with reference to internationalization, developed double degree study programs, participated in the management of the project in accordance with the established responsibilities. The vice-rector pointed out that the project provided the opportunity to learn from the experience of European universities, to adjust the regulatory framework to current realities and to ensure the continuity of internationalization processes that already existed before the launch of the project. Ms. Bugaian also emphasized that the sustainability of the project will be ensured by continuing the processes of university internationalization, by further implementing the action plans, elaborated on the basis of the Internationalization Strategy.
Towards the end of the monitoring visit, the Erasmus National Office appreciated the activities carried out in the project, highlighting the importance of the final report and the sustainability actions.
