Dumitru CALMÎC, a student of the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics, a renowned sportsman in the Republic of Moldova, was ranked 1st in the World Powerlifting Championship “WDFPF World Powerlifting Championships 2019”, held on October 26-27, 2019, in Halle, Germany, where he set a new world and European record at lifting – 130 kg.
In May 2018, he ranked first in the European Powerlifting Championship, and in November 2018, in the Powerlifting “WDFPF World Full Power 2018” in Glasgow, Scotland, setting a world record for lifting – 127.5kg.
Exceeding his previous performances, Dumitru offers us a new opportunity to be proud and honored by his sporting results, proving that every championship represents a new chance for him to hit world records.
