According to the 2021 edition of U-Multirank, published today, September 21, the Technical University of Moldova is among the top 25 universities in the ranking presented by U-Multirank in the category “International Joint Publication” (https://www.umultirank.org/university-rankings/top-performing-universities/2021/).
The indicator characterizes the degree to which university researchers are connected to international research networks. The universities in the top have at least 75% of their publications developed in collaboration with researchers from abroad. The entry of TUM in the mentioned top is the result of the joint effort of the University management and researchers who ensure the visibility of the research carried out within TUM, as well as the involvement of the latter in international research projects.
TUM is one of the universities in the Republic of Moldova which can be found in the U-Multirank rankings. The ranking evaluates over 1700 universities from different geographical areas: Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The U-Multirank methodology is based on a multidimensional, user-oriented approach. It compares the performance of higher education institutions according to 5 indicators: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation and (5) regional involvement.
U-Multiranking is an independent classification, carried out with the support of the Erasmus+ Program, being supervised by an advisory board.
