The Technical University of Moldova is opening a Faculty of Law, with study programmes offered in Chișinău and Cahul.
From the new academic year, current students of the Law programme within the Faculty of Construction will continue their studies as part of the new faculty. The same structure will also include bachelor’s and master’s programmes currently offered at the “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” University Centre in Cahul.
Teaching will be organised on both campuses, following a common curriculum. Students will continue to study in their current university centres, while being part of the same academic structure.
The faculty will also have a Department of Law. It will be created by merging the existing Law Chair with the Chair of Political and Administrative Sciences in Cahul and will take over the legal programmes previously managed by the Department of Engineering, Law and Real Estate Valuation.
The new structure will allow academic staff from Chișinău and Cahul to work more closely in teaching and research. It will also support the development of joint projects and partnerships with institutions in the Republic of Moldova and abroad.
The Faculty of Law was approved by the UTM Senate on 30 June 2026 and by Rector’s Order No. 353-r of 1 July 2026.
Candidates interested in studying Law at UTM can find admission information through the university’s virtual assistant.
