On May 24, 2026, Chișinău Arena welcomed around 4,000 high school graduates from across Moldova for the closing event of the national “Study in Moldova” campaign. For many of them, it was a day of questions, plans and big decisions about what comes next.
Representatives of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Research, and universities joined graduates preparing to choose their next path. Participants from nearly every region of Moldova came to explore study opportunities, talk to university representatives and learn more about the careers they could pursue.
The Technical University of Moldova was actively involved throughout the “Study in Moldova” campaign through its Career Counseling and Guidance Center. UTM shared admission information and created interactive experiences, practical demonstrations and technology-based activities that made career guidance more engaging for prospective students.
At Chișinău Arena, all 11 UTM faculties were represented, each presenting its study programs and educational opportunities. Several faculties also offered exhibitions and interactive demonstrations, showcasing innovative solutions and practical applications from their fields. From digital technologies, robotics and microelectronics to modern energy systems, mechanical engineering, food processes, design and environmental sciences, students were able to see what these fields look like in practice and where they could lead.
Opening the event, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu encouraged the graduates to believe in their future at home:
“Be proud of our country. I hope you find your place here, at home. You are talented, and you can build a beautiful future for the Republic of Moldova.”
Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun also spoke to the graduates, highlighting the changes taking place in Moldova’s universities. He pointed to investments in infrastructure and new study programs designed to match the needs of today’s labor market.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the direct exchange between high school graduates and UTM students. Through honest questions, shared experiences and a friendly atmosphere, prospective students gained a clearer sense of university life and more confidence in the choices ahead.
Through its active role in the “Study in Moldova” campaign, UTM showed once again that university means more than theory. It is where ideas take shape, technologies move forward and young people prepare to build what comes next.
That future can be built at home, and the Technical University of Moldova remains one of the places where it begins.
