The Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business (FIEB) at the Technical University of Moldova proudly acknowledges the successful participation of students from the Finance and Banking program in the second edition of the #ZoomInVictoriabank event. Held on April 12, 2025, in partnership with AIESEC Chișinău and Victoriabank, the event served as a valuable platform for bridging academic and professional environments, reinforcing UTM’s commitment to the well-rounded development of future economists.
The event was designed to bring the academic world closer to the professional one, offering students an authentic look into the world of banking—not through textbooks, but from within one of the country’s leading financial institutions. Hosted at Victoriabank’s headquarters, the interactive sessions included mentorship meetings, themed workshops, and open discussions with seasoned industry professionals.
FIEB students stood out for their enthusiastic engagement and eagerness to learn. Their thoughtful questions, exchange of ideas, and high energy levels reaffirmed the strong potential of the next generation of finance and banking specialists. A key feature of this edition was the setting itself: being held at the central office of Victoriabank allowed students to observe the inner workings of a modern bank, offering a clearer understanding of day-to-day operations and helping build mutual trust between students and the financial institution.

For students, participating in such initiatives provides access to a genuine learning environment where direct interaction with professionals and firsthand exposure to banking processes help transform theoretical knowledge into applied understanding. These experiences also refine their communication and presentation skills, strengthen teamwork, and encourage critical thinking—crucial qualities for success in the field. Close contact with potential employers gives students a clear view of the industry’s expectations, helping them shape their goals and identify areas of interest. The insights shared by experienced professionals offer real-world benchmarks, motivate students, and boost their confidence. Furthermore, taking part in these types of events significantly increases their chances of securing internships or employment opportunities, ensuring a smoother and more effective transition from university to the workplace.
This kind of engagement with the professional world aligns with UTM’s and FIEB’s strategy to train economists who are not only academically prepared but also capable of meeting real-world challenges. It reflects a focused effort to equip graduates with the adaptability and skills necessary for a dynamic economic and technological landscape, ultimately fostering a generation of responsible, competitive, and well-grounded professionals.
