Its collaboration with one of the top-performing companies in the Republic of Moldova – SA “EFES VITANTA MOLDOVA BREWERY” – stands as clear proof of this commitment to excellence and innovation.
The recent visit by FIEB professors to EFES VITANTA marked a key moment in strengthening the relationship between academia and industry. More than just a tour of a leading company, it was a practical lesson about what the future looks like – one where education is seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge technologies and the real needs of the market.
Organized at the initiative of Mr. Serkan KAZAR, Director of Information Security at SA “EFES VITANTA MOLDOVA BREWERY,” and facilitated by the generous support of Mr. Veaceslav ȘUTCHEVICI, a member of UTM’s Strategic Institutional Development Council (CDSI) and a dedicated promoter of modern educational practices, this meeting was a natural extension of the SAP S/4HANA integration project into the FIEB curriculum – a major achievement for technical higher education in Moldova.
The visit to EFES VITANTA gave FIEB professors the opportunity to see firsthand how the SAP platform is applied in the operational flow of an international company. With ultramodern equipment, advanced digital technologies, and a clear vision of social responsibility, EFES VITANTA MOLDOVA BREWERY, part of the EFES BEVERAGE GROUP and ANADOLU GROUP, represents an inspiring model for future professionals.
Mr. Serkan KAZAR, Director of IT and Digital Solutions, together with the management team – including Serghei BAZIUC, Director of Human Resources, Ludmila ANDRONIC, Director of Corporate Affairs, and Ruslan ȚARINĂ, Technical Director – gave a comprehensive presentation of the company’s history, traditions, and values, along with key aspects of its modernization, the importance of using the most advanced technologies, and the company’s experience implementing the ERP platform SAP S/4HANA. The implementation took about 24 months, positioning Moldova as a pioneer within the ANADOLU GROUP in deploying this digital solution. EFES Moldova played a leading role in rolling out technologies that were later adopted by other subsidiaries within the group. Organizational values, ongoing modernization, the importance of teamwork, and social responsibility were all emphasized as fundamental to the company’s performance. The message conveyed to students was clear: technology reaches its highest potential when powered by skilled and collaborative people.
FIEB professors had the chance to learn directly how SAP S/4HANA operates in practice, utilizing in-memory processing to deliver high performance and real-time analysis. They also explored the company’s technological and production processes, guided by the management team. Discussions between the teams identified several areas of collaboration, such as the development of dual education programs (both technical and ISCED level 6), opportunities for internships, guest lectures by industry speakers, and aligning academic content with private sector expectations. The faculty management also shared their plans to launch a new study program in Business Analytics and agreed to further explore launching dual education programs in close cooperation with their private sector partner.
The implementation of SAP S/4HANA at FIEB is not just a university first – it is a qualitative leap toward education tailored to the digital revolution’s demands. With real-time processing and analysis, this platform gives students hands-on experience with a globally recognized tool, providing them with a real competitive edge in the job market.
The visit opened new, promising paths for collaboration, focusing on the development of dual education, the organization of internships in real industrial environments, and thematic seminars led by industry experts. FIEB-UTM thus strengthens its strategic partnerships, providing students with both solid academic knowledge and practical experience, applicable skills, and clear career prospects.
