Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu awarded eight Royal Scholarships from the Romanian Royal House on the evening of October 21st, two of which were granted to students from the Technical University of Moldova: the “King Mihai” Scholarship was awarded to Efim Ardovan, a sixth-year student at the UTM Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the “Queen Ana” Scholarship went to Gheorghe Pârgăru, a third-year student specializing in Agronomy at the UTM Faculty of Agricultural, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences.
This annual event, traditionally celebrated on King Mihai’s birthday in the Throne Room of the Royal Palace in Bucharest, brought together two exceptional students from the Technical University of Moldova. They were proudly accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Vladislav Reșitca, Vice-Rector for Studies, and Dr. Daniela Pojar, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Financial Affairs at UTM.

The distinguished scholarship ceremony took place in the Throne Room, attended by Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Prince Consort Radu, HRH Princess Sofia, members of the Royal Council, representatives of Her Majesty’s Household, and administrative officials from various higher education institutions from both sides of the Prut River.

Awarded each year, these scholarships symbolize the Royal House’s tradition and continued commitment to promoting excellence and supporting Romania’s educational, cultural, and social values. Established years ago by the Custodian of the Crown and Prince Radu, the Royal Scholarships – King Carol I and Queen Elisabeta – are awarded annually to students in Bucharest, while the King Ferdinand I and Queen Maria Scholarships are dedicated to students in Chișinău.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the recipients of the Royal Scholarship. We wish them ongoing success in their academic pursuits, as they continue to promote national values and elevate the profile of the Technical University of Moldova. Additionally, we commend their commitment to volunteer work and other community and social initiatives!
