The primary purpose of this meeting was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, in order to solidify the existing collaboration between the Technical University of Moldova and North Carolina State University (NCSU).

The Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project, spanning five years (2022-2027), stands as a meaningful stride in fostering sustainable and inclusive recovery amidst the regional crisis sparked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This initiative accelerates climate-resilient economic development in Moldova’s rural areas, with a strong emphasis on key sectors of the economy. Additionally, it contributes to the development of workforce competencies in critical sectors such as agriculture, viticulture, and tourism.
Beyond the main goal of supporting the creation of a skilled workforce to meet market demands, the essence of this partnership lies in providing the Republic of Moldova with the opportunity to bolster its agricultural sector and tackle the challenges posed by climate change.
