UTM at the Regional Energy Forum for Central and Eastern Europe – FOREN 2022

The organizers of the Regional Energy Forum within the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-CME) welcomed three representatives of the Technical University of Moldova: the special guests Dr. Cristina EFREMOV – head of International Relations Service; assoc. prof., Dr. Victor GROPA, dean of the Faculty of Energetics and Electrical Engineering, and Dr. Dumitru BRAGA, teacher at FEIE.

The 16th edition of the Regional Energy Forum for Central and Eastern Europe FOREN-2022, titled “Energy Transition Needs Regional Cooperation”, took place between June 12 and June 15, 2022, in Costinesti, on the coast of the Black Sea, in the Vox Maris Grand Resort complex.

Organized with the aid of the World Energy Council, supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB) and held under the auspices of the Romanian Ministry of Energy, the forum is considered a scientific event with a strong tradition and a remarkable reputation in the field of energy. For the Romanian energy community, it is the most important and representative event in the field, organized each even year. FOREN also holds the status of a CME regional event for Central and Eastern Europe.

The event was attended by over 120 speakers, including ministers, energy industry leaders, experts and researchers, regulators, eminent personalities from academia and representatives of non-governmental organizations in the country and abroad. The forum included about 30 events with topics of great national and international interest, including 4 sections of scientific communications with over 100 papers, 9 important events, such as Regional Energy Day, 4 Roundtable Forums (RTF), 3 Workshop Forums (WF), 10 Roundtables at corporate level (RT), an international exhibition with over 30 stands (EXPO FOREN 2022) and a very rich and diverse social program.
