The totalization ceremony of the Winter ARCHDESIGN Festival-2021 university competition took place on the Microsoft Teams platform. Now at its third edition, this year’s competition was entitled “Peace and Trust”, in accordance with the title stated by the United Nations for the year 2021 – Year of Peace and Trust.
The design projects of the participants focused on illustrating the two notions – Peace and Trust – through the metaphorical language of artistic creation. The works of the young designers were assessed by renowned personalities in the field: Teodor NAVAL – architect, founder of the company OLD ARCHITECTURE SRL; Carolina TULGARA – designer, executive director of the ZIPhouse Center of Excellence; Sergiu MÎNDRESCU – art director of the studio “SERMINDES STUDIO” SRL; Iulian POIA – designer, general manager of the company “IndART” SRL; Jana ȘVEȚ – head of the Printing Department, Combinatul Poligrafic din Chisinau.
The organizers of the event, Sergiu TRONCIU – the president of the Festival, and Ala CARCEA – the vice-president, express their gratitude to the rector of TUM, univ. prof., Dr. Viorel BOSTAN, the deans, heads of departments and programs, students, and members of the jury. The project coordinators also thank those who contributed to the organization of this beautiful and creative festival: the Career Counseling and Guidance Center within TUM, Ziphouse Center within TUM; the companies Tromigou, Astral Proiect SRL, Oldarchitecture; the stores Papetăria Grif, Art Atribut; the media partners Moldova 1, Diez.md.
