A new Collaboration Agreement UTM – Gagauzia General Education Directorate

UTM adds to its portfolio of partnerships a new Collaboration Agreement – with the General Directorate of Education Gagauzia in Comrat municipality, this being signed by the head of the DGÎG, Natalia CRISTEVA, and the UTM representatives – Dinu ȚURCANU, vice-rector for Informatization, Partnerships, Institutional Image and Communication, Radu MELNIC, head of the Career Guidance Center, and CEGHID deputy chief, Natalia ȘESTENCO, during the 5th edition of the International Investment Forum “INVEST GAGAUZIA – 2019”.

Considered necessary after a thorough analysis of the economy of the region, the collaboration initiated two years ago by the Gagauz authorities with the only institution focused on the technical-engineering sphere in the republic – the Technical University of Moldova, confirmed by a Memorandum signed by the governor of UTA Gagauzia Irina VLAH and the rector of UTM Viorel BOSTAN, is supplemented annually with the full coverage by UTAG of 50 tuition fees for Gagauzian students who choose to pursue a specialty within UTM.

The new partnership created within the forum with international participation underlines the importance that the Comrat administration still attaches to education and, in particular, the strategic vector of training young specialists to promote industry development in the region, in particular the development of the auto components industry, electronics, machine building, information technologies, the technology of business services, of textiles and of agricultural processing, as well as raising the population’s living standards.
