Completion of training courses for bioengineers from Tajikistan

On the 5th of July, 2019, the National Center for Biomedical Engineering (CNIB) of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics, hosted the Tajikistan bioengineering certification ceremony for graduating the “Biomedical Engineering” course.

The event was attended by the rector of UTM, professor, dr. hab. Viorel Bostan; dean of FCIM, PhD, Dumitru Ciorba; director of CNIBM, prof. dr. Victor Şontea; the main consultant in the Healthcare Policy and Medical Devices Department of the Ministry of Health, Gheorghe Gorceag and the directors of Biomedical Engineering departments within the medical institutions: IMSP “Timofei Moşneaga” Republican Clinical Hospital, IMSP “Sfânta Treime” Municipal Clinical Hospital, IMSP Mother and Child Institute, IMSP Institute of Emergency Medicine.

The courses took place between May 13th and July 5th, 2019. The 320-hour study program included basic training in the Functional Anatomy and Human Physiology, Medical Electronics, Microprocessors and Electrical Measurements, and Medical Imaging Techniques and Radiological Safety, but also specialized disciplines: Medical Technology Management, Medical Devices for Diagnosis and Intensive Care, and Medical Devices for Sterilization and Laboratory Investigations.

The practical training was carried out at the National Center of Biomedical Engineering of the Technical University of Moldova and at the partner medical institutions: IMSP “Timofei Moşneaga” Republican Clinical Hospital, IMSP “Sfânta Treime” Municipal Clinical Hospital, IMSP Mother and Child Institute, IMSP Institute of Emergency Medicine.
