The contest for a green planet – “Provocările planetei verzi” – a competition dedicated to science and technology, aiming to coach young people passionate about Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation and Electronics from all around the country.
Combine the enthusiasm and aspiration for a green and healthy habitat with science and technology, and you’ve got yourself a contest geared towards stimulating and developing creativity and innovation, while providing growth opportunities for young people. By organizing this competition, we want to promote both green science and the collaboration between mentors and students, in order to encourage and inspire the new generation of engineers, programmers and designers.
The competition is organized according to strict rules, including limited time and resources. Teams of students, under the guidance of mentors, are challenged to design, build and program fully autonomous robots to compete in the contest.
The competition is intended for students aged 15-19, guided by a mentor. The volunteering professional mentors are invited to take time in selecting the talented people for each team. A team will consist of 4-6 people and must be registered to participate in the competition by the mentor via completing a REGISTRATION FORM. Deadline for registration – September 5, 2022.
ATTENTION! Works that have participated in other competitions or exhibitions cannot be presented at the contest.
The teams will have 24 days (September 6-29, 2022) to design their creations. Those that do not have sufficient resources can request the infrastructure and kits necessary to participate in the competition.
The competition will end with the presentation and assessment of the works at the FabLab Center of Excellence in Chișinău, on September 30, 2022. The winners will be appointed in the evening of the same day, during the European Researchers’ Night event, organized on September 30 within the UTM park in the Râșcani campus. The winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will receive cash prizes, gifts and will benefit from state-funded enrollment at UTM, in the Robotics and Mechatronics specialty.
Hurry and fill out the REGISTRATION FORM by September 5th!
The competition is part of the series of activities organized within the European Researchers’ Night event and is co-financed by the Scientix 4 project (Grant Agreement No. 101000063), coordinated by European Schoolnet (EUN).
