FEIE-UTM: a new class of 40 graduates of the “Electroenergetics” study program

A new class of 40 students has graduated from the “Electroenergetics” study program within the Department of Energetics of the UTM Faculty of Energetics and Electrical Engineering.

The presented theses referred to the main problems faced by the energy sector in the Republic of Moldova. The students came up with appropriate solutions, such as the rehabilitation and modernization of energy supply systems, the promotion of renewable energy sources, the stimulation of energy efficiency, and the protection of the environment.

The Bachelor Examination Commission consisted of Igor CIBOTARU (president), administrator of SOE “Nodul Hidroenergetic Costeşti” (Costeşti Hydropower Plant); univ. prof., Dr. Ion STRATAN (vice-president); univ. lect., Dr. Corina GUȚU-CHETRUȘCA, univ. lect. Ina DOBREA, and secretary eng. Ala TVERDOHLEB. After assessing the works and the relevance of the addressed topics, the Commission highlighted the following theses:

  • “The feasibility of building a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 3 MW in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova” (supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Viorica HLUSOV, head of the Energetics Department, FEIE-UTM);
  • “Sizing a hybrid system for autonomous production of electricity based on renewable sources” (supervisor: lecturer Andrian GORODENCO, head of the Department of Energy Supervision within ANRE);
  • “Increasing the energy efficiency of the technological processes within an enterprise for the production of construction materials” (supervisor: lecturer Mihai LUPU, head of the Laboratory of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources at the Institute of Power Engineering);
  • “Designing an energy-independent ecological greenhouse” (supervisor: assoc. prof., Dr. Mihai TÎRŞU, director at the Institute of Power Engineering).

The Bachelor Examination Commission congratulated the 40 graduates on successfully completing their studies at the “Electroenergetics” study program and expressed their gratitude to the thesis supervisors for their support and dedication: univ. prof., Dr. Ion STRATAN, assoc. prof., Dr. Viorica HLUSOV, assoc. prof., Dr. Mihai TÎRȘU, univ. lect. Mihai LUPU, assoc. prof., Dr. Victor GROPA (dean of FEIE), univ. lect. Andrian GORODENCO, univ. lect. Ina DOBREA, univ. lect., Dr. Corina GUȚU-CHETRUȘCA, univ. lect., Dr. Dumitru BRAGA, univ. lect., Dr. Feodosie CIBOTARI, univ. lect. Dumitru RUJANSCHI.
