Quality Assurance Responsibilities
At University Level
The Quality Management System at university level is managed by the Rector, who establishes the strategy, policy, objectives, and priorities in the field of quality.
The Vice-Rectors are responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the QMS within their respective areas of responsibility.
DMAAC and the Quality Assurance Section
The Directorate for Academic Management and Quality Assurance promotes a culture of quality and coordinates QMS documentation, internal audit activities, evaluation, authorisation, and accreditation of study programmes.
At Faculty Level
At faculty level, the Quality Management System is managed by the Dean and supported by the Quality Management Committee.
At Department and Service Level
Heads of departments and services are responsible for the quality of the processes carried out within the structures they manage.

UTM maintains a Quality Management System certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, with international recognition through the IQNET network.
