Supporting and motivating students in their pursuit of technical and engineering sciences is a key objective for the Technical University of Moldova. An important aspect in this regard is the yearly organization of the Tech Olympiads at UTM. We are happy to say that these competitions attract a significant number of participants interested in continuing their education in the tech field.
Today, April 16, 2022, a new edition of the Technical Olympiad in Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science was organized at UTM. The competition brought together an impressive number of contestants: 11 students participated in the Physics Olympiad, 51 in the Chemistry Olympiad, and 65 in the Computer Science Olympiad. The high schoolers came from a remarkable number of regions: Ialoveni, Anenii Noi, Strășeni, Călărași, Ungheni, Vulcănești, Ceadâr Lunga, Comrat, Șoldănești, and, of course, Chișinău.
This year’s edition of the Republican Tech Olympiad (April 9 and 16, 2022) was attended by a total of 255 people – a new record within the last decade. We are proud of you, our students!
The organization of the Tech Olympiad aims to test students’ knowledge in a series of subjects, motivate them to explore the technical field, and recognize and appreciate the most talented students for their creative skills.
Given that for many students this Olympiad is a starting point in their professional career, and the winners will benefit from advantages during the UTM admission process, we encourage the graduates to confidently choose UTM – the only engineering institution in Moldova with high quality courses in tech subjects.
