The Department of Transport at TUM was established in 1975 and is one of the main departments of the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Transport.

Students can study for bachelors Masters or Doctoral degrees in the areas of:

  • Auto Transport Engineering
  •  Railway Transport Engineering
  •  Engineering and Management in Transport
  •  Transport Services and Expeditions
  •  Management and exploitation of transport
  •  Safety and greening of road transport

In addition, the Department of Transport, through the University Centre for Continuing Education, organizes initial and continuous professional training of personnel in road transport in following programs:

1.     Initial professional training in “Engineering and Management in Transport”

2.    Continuous professional training of personnel with specialization in:

  • Teacher of road safety
  • Driving instructor
  • Assessor in qualification system of drivers

3.     Training of specialists in road transport and professional competences certification in the following specializations:

  • Road transport manager
  • Manager for periodical technical inspection of road vehicles
  • Expert for the periodical technical inspection of road vehicles
  • Manager of auto service workshops
  • Manager / expert for assembly work, verification of macrographs, speed limiters
  • Road transport driver
